If you want to kayak but don’t have one, some of the boat ramps also rent kayaks and the like for you to use.
Ever been to a drive-in theater like in those old movies? Here in Lake Blue Ridge, there’s a drive-in theatre nearby; one of the only four in Georgia. The Blue Ridge Swan Drive-In Theatre has been operating since 1955 and is rated one of the best in the country. They have their own concession stand with food for you to enjoy while you watch the movie in your car or outside it. Showing begins at 7:30 PM, and they’re only open on weekends at the time of writing this article. The experience is well worth it, and it’s definitely something you have to try at least once.
Fishing
Fishing is one of the more popular activities out there in Lake Blue Ridge. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but if it’s yours – you might want to try it here. You can try it by boat or by the shoreline, and there are guide services around the lake that would help you with your adventure. The lake is one of the best places to fish for trout in the Southeastern U.S.A, and there’s also plenty of basses, bluegill, and walleye for you to catch.
